Tom

As this shows you edited on Jan. 14th, its fair to assume that this is up to date for the time being?

I'm sure a lot of us are just hanging out waiting for definitive word, but I'm scouting out a couple of dates once we get the "GO" from you or Greg.

Yes, this is an updated list. We're updating with each new signup that we get. Keep your fingers crossed and hopefully this will all be resolved soon.

as of this post, there are only 39 slots filled by 36 different people. I don't know what the count was these past couple of years on January 19 but I'm sure this total is way way down. My guess is that the main event totals are also down but in satellite leagues the drop is huge. The impact of Fanball's demise is really having an impact. Even if things get resolved,I don't see the satellite league anywhere approaching last season totals.

There's no reason to be concerned at this time. Our signups typically do not begin to start taking off until spring training began so we're still a ways away from that date. Many people are still in football mode even if the fantasy football season is over. The uncertainty is likely having an impact but Greg and I are confident that when this situation is resolved the numbers will return to previous levels or ... hopefully ... better.

Tom... I'm showing that I'm in the March 29, $250 League, 9 p.m. EST. Would you please correct accordingly? In addition, would you please change my location to Seoul, South Korea. Evidently, when I submitted my entry it defaulted to APO, AK. I could not change the state to read as AP, which I must use as the state when I provide my overseas miltary postal service/mailing address for most on-line transactions. No real problem with the city reading as "APO" in your list of entries I suppose, but I would much prefer that it read as Seoul. One thing is for sure, I'm definitely not living in Arkansas. Not even close to it.

That said, as one that uses an overseas military postal address as my mail delivery/CC billing address, I want to point out there is no "State" drop-down option available to allow for overseas military postal addresses, such as AP (Armed Forces Pacific), AE (Armed Forces Europe), etc. I think adding the military AP, AE, etc., choices is something that must be added to the "State" drop-down list in order for folks to accurately create an account, enter CC info, etc...

Let me just say that while I understand Mike's early concerns, I have absolutely no reservations that we will have a record-breaking satellite season in 2011. I think there will be a lot of people looking for online leagues this year and folks will definitely find us if there is any absence of past games. We currently have 16 full Slow Draft leagues, so I understand why the satellites aren't filling up yet, but the Slow Drafts are a great indication that people are hungry for baseball this year.

And honestly, Mike, we never have had a lot of satellite signups at this point because people really don't know their nightly schedules that far off. I remember having a meeting with Tom last year in February and being concerned that we had to cancel our first couple of draft dates because we didn't fill either date over the first two weeks. But then March rolled around and it was insane between satellite leagues and online championship leagues. The same thing will happen again this year.

Keep looking over the schedules everyone and Tom will fine-tune the dates and times for everything next week when hopefully things will be clearer. Everything is now in place for the NFBC to have a historic season in 2011 and the online business will grow and prosper. I'm positive of that. Good luck all and thanks for your patience.

Tom - I signed up for the $125 pay top 3 for Feb 24th 7PM several days ago and don't see my name. Can you check on that for me? Thanks.

Dave Schermann

I just noticed that you have me in the Feb 23rd winner take all $125 league, I know I did not sign up for that as I could only draft on the 24th and there was no pay top 3 for $125 on the 23rd nor winner take all on the 24th. Please correct my entry to the league I signed up for. Thanks.

Tom, why can't we sign up for Satellite leagues right now? Also, are there going to be more week night options available in late March?
I'm the player to be named later.

The signup page is down temporarily as we make the final move to our new site. If there are leagues you want to sign up for shoot me an email at tkessenich@fanball.com and I'll secure your spot. I'll then contact you when our new site goes live so you can officially register.

As far as late March weeknight options we have a bunch at all of our price points but we can definitely add more if the demand is there. No problem with that.
